Development on Titans season two is well underway and casting for the Wilson Family is nearly complete. Just last week we got an official casting for Slade Wilson aka Deathstroke in Esai Morales. Who will be the main villain of the upcoming season.
Next up is his son Joseph Wilson aka Jericho. Playing him will be deaf and genderqueer activist/actor Chella Man. Man is a model, Youtuber and student at New York University.
Who is Jericho and what are his abilities/powers?
Jericho has the ability to posses a person after making eye contact with them. While in possession, Jericho is able to access and use all of his host’s abilities and powers; and is able to tap into their memories.
In DC Comics’s New 52, Jericho was given psychic abilities along with this normal possession ability.
In DC Rebirth Jericho has the same possessive abilities with a huge tweak. He is still able to possess and control humans or meta-humans, but it’s more on a spiritual level than physical. He refers to it as ‘near field communication’ as he is able to control said host and speak through them (he’s mute in the comics). While in possession of a person Jericho’s body lays dormant leaving vulnerable to attacks, if unprotected.
As I mentioned, Jericho is mute in the comics but DC Universe is going a different route with him in the show by making him deaf.
