HBO Max will officially #ReleaseTheSnyderCut on their streaming service in 2021!
A dream that’s a little over two years in the making. After years of fans rallying behind Zack Snyder and pushing Warner Bros. every chance they got to release Zack Snyder’s cut of Justice League. That dream has officially become a reality. Today Zack and Deborah Snyder hosted a Man of Steel quarantine watch party followed by a live Q&A in which Henry Cavill was a part of.
At the end of the watch party, the announcement became official. HBO Max would be releasing Zack Snyder’s Justice League on the streaming service in 2021. HBO Max, DC Comics, and other Hollywood trades like Variety officially reported the reveal adding more credence to the speculative announcement.
Zack Snyder completed the majority of his work on the Justice League film until having to leave the film due to the passing of his daughter. Warner Bros. in need of wanting to get the film out on time brought in director Joss Whedon (The Avengers, Avengers: Age of Ultron) to do reshoots and rewrites. Unfortunately, the final product was not well received by fans and critics alike.
As mentioned above, HBO Max followed up the announcement with an official press release which you can check out below.
