Fortnite: Thor Officially Confirmed For Season 4

After many leaks and rumors, Fortnite has finally confirmed Thor as its central character for Chapter 2, Season 4

After many delays for Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 3 the new season arrived June 17th and brought forth new changes to the island’s map, new and old weapons, points of interests and a new comic book character as its central figure, Aquaman. Fornite Chapter 2, Season 3 is coming to a close next week (August 27) and will bring forth an all-new season, and while details on the new season are extremely scarce (that is if you don’t keep up with leakers), we now have confirmation that Thor will be coming to Fortnite and will be the new season’s central comic book character.

Subtlely teased last month during Fourth of July, which brought forth a Captain America skin. Captain America’s arrival to the island came via the Bifrost. Leaving many comic book fans and players speculating whether or not Thor would appear shortly after Captain America or in the new season.

After Captain America’s arrival, I reached out to Epic Games to see if we would see Thor in this current season or after but was told that they could not confirm anything at that time. As I mentioned above, if you keep up with Fortnite leakers and data miners, you knew that Thor was on the way regardless if Epic Games revealed anything…that was until today!

Earlier today Fortnite took to Twitter to tease what was coming to Fortnite Season 4 and released a motion poster with the game’s logo and Thor in the center of the logo.

By the looks of it, it seems that Fortnite will be bringing Donny Cates’ version of Thor to the game. If past seasons are anything to go by, just like Aquaman and Deadpool, there will be weekly challenges you’ll need to complete in order to unlock the Thor skin.

Additionally, Hypex, has leaked new details about Season 4 ahead of Fortnite’s official release which include a Thor point of interest, this could potentially be New Asgard which is located on Earth in the comics. A Wolverine skin, a Storm skin, a Wolverine-esque Peely skin, comic books to collect and apparently a Groot skin as well. If you can’t tell by now the entirety of the season will be Marvel themed and should entice fans enough to want to return to the game in order to unlock these cosmetics.

Things are looking MIGHTY for Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 4. We are less than a week away from Season 3’s conclusion so you still have some time to unlock anything that needs to be unlocked before the new battle pass is released.
