Electronic Arts and Lucasfilm Join Forces To Create a New Star Wars Game


Gamers…Star Wars Gamers, prepare for the new galaxy!

The game developer Respawn Entertainment known for Apex Legends, leads the production of this project. These guys will all join together to create three new titles. The next title in the Star Wars Jedi franchise will be a first shooter and a strategy game. The development and production will be led by Respawn’s founder, Vince Zampella. 

Game Director Stig Asmussen and his studio team are working on the action-adventure game in the Star Wars Jedi series. They are joined by Peter Hirschmann, the Game Director of Respawn Entertainment, who leads the all-new first-person shooter game. Peter Hirschmann has a successful record with the Star Wars franchise. The third title in this series is going to be developed by a newer studio called Bit Reactor, with direction from veteran Greg Foertsch.

Hirschmann has previously worked as VP of Development at LucasArts, and he was the Executive Producer on the original Battlefront games. Peter Hirschmann, director at Respawn, states “Working with LucasFilms on a FPS is a dream come true for me, as this is a story I have always wanted to tell.” Each of these projects has begun development and the specific timelines have yet to be announced.
