Nintendo Switch OLED Model The Nerdy Basement

Nintendo Announces Nintendo Switch OLED Model With a Vibrant 7-inch OLED Screen, Launching Oct. 8

The next Nintendo Switch model has been revealed, however it is not the Switch Pro. The Nintendo OLED model comes out October 8th.

The upgrades on this new Nintendo Switch OLED Model involve the 7-inch screen, the pixels on the console will control the lights, sounds pretty lit I guess? Unfortunately, this new model will not feature the 4K quality that was anticipated. It seems like that might take a while to happen. It will cost $350 which is $50 more than the original Nintendo Switch.

If you are someone who is a fan of online multiplayer. There will be a built-in ethernet port for those who like to play online games, which will be part of the new dock. Is anyone else trying to play some Super Mario Party or Smash Bros with friends online?

The OLED model is still an upgrade. It will have a larger screen which will make the pictures clearer. It will come with a kickstand so you can play with it similarly to a tablet. Also, the actual color enhances the appearance of this model. Also, the sound is supposed to be way better!

When the system launches, it will come in two color options: Nintendo Switch’s (OLED model) white set features white Joy-Con controllers, a black main unit, and a white dock. Nintendo Switch (OLED model) neon red/neon blue set features neon red and neon blue Joy-Con controllers, a black main unit, and a black dock.

Nintendo Switch (OLED model) launches on Oct. 8, the same day as the Metroid Dread game, the next entry in the 2D Metroid saga that kicked off with the original Metroid on NES. With the vibrant OLED screen and enhanced audio, embarking on the latest adventure of intergalactic bounty hunter Samus Aran in Metroid Dread while playing in handheld or tabletop mode will feel even more immersive.

What do you think of this upgrade? Are you still waiting for the Switch Pro?
