RUMORED BATMAN GAMED REPORTEDLY TITLED ‘ARKHAM LEGACY’ FEATURES PLAYABLE BATFAMILY & COURT OF OWLS

ARKHAM LEGACY

The long rumored and teased Batman Arkham game by Arkham Origins Studio WB Games Montreal has been the central topic of a lot of Batman conversation on social media the past few months. Last month on Batman Day, the studio tweeted a cryptic, yet, teasing video, that somewhat hinted at a new game. As we fast forward to today…there’s still no official word or announcement regarding said game.

One of the biggest rumors after this teaser went live, was that the new game would feature fan-favorite villains The Court of Owls. An underground crime group created by beloved Batman writer Scott Snyder and artist Greg Capullo. One of the notable names from The Court of Owls is Talon. Someone fans have been aching to see Batman go toe-to-toe with in an Arkham video game.

Today a new report from Twitter user Sabi, who has a pretty good track record when it comes to getting inside information from the industry, teased that this new game will be dubbed “Batman: Arkham Legacy”. Not only that, he followed up said tweet stating that the rumors regarding The Batfamily being playable characters in this new game seem to be legit.

The Batfamily has been in other Arkham games but they aren’t fully playable characters within the same vein as Catwoman in Batman Arkham City. Despite these same characters, including Azrael being playable for a certain period of time during Batman: Arkham Knight. The reports from Sabi do not end there. The insider reveals that the title for the rumored game could change and that the official reveal/announcement for the game could be sometime next year! Sabi proceeds to stop revealing information, revealing that “WB can be kinda scary”.

While we wait for official word from WB Games and WB Games Montreal, we can only take all of this with a grain of salt. The two biggest events in which we can see any of this news come into fruition could be 2020’s E3 or 2020’s TGA (The Game Awards). If we wanna aim even further, maybe at PAX West or PAX East. It’ll be easier to pinpoint where this might happen once more information becomes available.
