The 5 Most Anticipated Games Coming in April 2020

April 2020 to be a great month for gaming

2020 has been good to us so far with the likes of Animal Crossing and Doom Eternal in March! However, April is here and now we need to look at some of the biggest releases coming this month. That being said, here are the 5 biggest releases coming in April 2020.

Resident Evil 3

I have to be honest, despite less then stellar reviews for Resident Evil 3, I’m stoked for this remake. It’s been years in the making and as a follow up to the superb Resident Evil 2, I think it’s safe to say I’ll be locking myself in my office and playing through this all weekend.

  • Release: April 3rd, 2020
  • Platforms: PS4/Xbox One/PC
  • Developer: Capcom

Final Fantasy VII Remake

It’s kind of ironic that the first two games on this are remakes – LOL. Nonetheless, fans have be clamoring for a Final Fantasy VII Remake for years and after being announced all the way back in 2015, it’s finally happening. Fans and newcomers alike can experience this ground breaking entry in modern non-turned based combat glory.

  • Release: April 10th, 2020
  • Platform: PS4 (Exclusive)
  • Developer: Square Enix

Predator: Hunting Grounds

We here at The Nerdy Basement are HUGE Predator fans. The franchise has endured for over 30 years and it shows no signs of slowing. Although the last film had a very negative response from critics and fans, this game looks to be a very good time. Fans and casual gamers will battle in an asymmetrical multi-player environment of man vs beast.

Gears Tactics

Gears Tactics is an RTS game in the style of XCOM. The Gears of War Franchise has been an all time favorite of mine since its debut in Fall of 2006. While I’m not a super big fan of this style of game, this is certainly something I’ll be keeping my eye on and perhaps dabble in myself.

  • Release: April 28th, 2020
  • Platforms: Xbox One/PC
  • Developer: The Coalition

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 3

I don’t think this game needs any more coverage then it has already gotten. Epic Games’ Fortnite has soared beyond anyone’s expectations and it has redefined the Battle Royale genre. Fans will get to experience a new season with new loot, drops, skins and weapons when the new season starts this spring.

  • Release: April 30th, 2020
