BLOODSHOT: VIN DIESEL IS CAUGHT IN A LOOP IN DEBUT TRAILER

The Valiant comic book universe is looking to make its mark in the live-action comic book movie world and first up is Sony Pictures’ Bloodshot starring Vin Diesel as the titular character.

For those unfamiliar with Valiant Comics’ Bloodshot character and history. The character was created by Kevin VanHook, Don Perlin and Bob Layton in 1992.

BLOODSHOT

Bloodshot is a former soldier with powers of regeneration and meta-morphing made possible through nanites injected into his blood, hence the name Bloodshot. After having his memory wiped numerous times, Bloodshot is out to discover who he really is and get vengeance on those who did this to him. Bloodshot’s bloodstream contains a billion nanocomputers, enabling him to heal from injuries quickly, interface with technology, and shapeshift his mass.

As mentioned in the brief character history above and based on the trailer. It looks like the film will be sticking to the comic book origin of Bloodshot and how he attains his powers. We see his regenerative powers in full display as he is seen regenerating his body several times. The most epic one being, him getting shot in the face and fully regenerating it before letting off a couple rounds and killing his attacker.

Bloodshot arrives in theaters February 1, 2020
