RUMOR: BROTHER VOODOO TO BE INTRODUCED IN DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS

DOCTOR STRANGE

It looks like America Chavez isn’t the only new Marvel hero being introduced in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. According to a new report from The Illuminerdi, Jericho Drumm aka Brother Voodoo will also be making his MCU debut in the Doctor Strange sequel.

“While he’s not specifically named in the casting call, there are plenty of hints in the character description towards his identity. He’s described as a supporting male lead who is of Caribbean descent, and Haiti is specifically mentioned as a nation tied to the character. It’s also been noted that the character shouldn’t necessarily feel American, although the role is still potentially open to African-American actors.” reveals The Illuminerdi.

Brother Voodoo is a character many fans of Doctor Strange have been clamoring for and who’s introduction has been speculated and rumored about for quite some time. In the comics, Brother Voodoo has a romantic relationship with Scarlet Witch which is something that can be explored in this film or downline in the MCU. Brother Voodoo also becomes the Sorcerer Supreme at some point and time which is another plot point that Marvel Studios could be looking to explore if Doctor Strange either meets his end or becomes the Ancient One. The possibilities are endless really.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is currently looking for a new director after the departure of former director Scott Derrickson.
