Paramount Pictures is now actively developing two brand new Transformers films with screenwriters James Vanderbilt (The Amazing Spider-Man, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, The Meg) and Joby Harold (Army of the Dead, King Arthur: Legend of the Sword). Vanderbilt and Harold will be tackling one film each and penning their respective scripts. Details on the films have not been revealed but its sources close to Variety have revealed that both films will open the franchise to new storyline opportunities.
Film insider Thomas Polito has revealed on Twitter that one of the two Transformers films being developed will be based on the hit Transformers spin-off series Beast Wars.
Many fans across the internet have showcased their interest in a live-action Beast Wars film and if this scoop hits the mark then fans will be getting what they’ve asked for.
