A new Transformers film is in early development over at Paramount Pictures with ‘Charm City Kings’ director Angel Manuel Soto and ‘The Defenders’ showrunner Marco Ramirez. Angel Manuel Soto who was recently tapped to direct Warner Bros. live-action Blue Beetle film is attached to direct this new Transformers project which is reportedly not part of the main Transformers live-action continuity. Marco Ramirez is also onboard to write the script.

Paramount Pictures currently has two additional Transformers films in active development. An announcement that came not that long after the highly successful Transformers spin-off film ‘Bumblebee’ starring Hailee Steinfeld. This new Transformers project is still in early development so plot details are not available at this time, and there is no word on who will be producing the film.

Paramount has been developing live-action Transformers films since 2007 which were initially directed by Michael Bay. One out of the two aforementioned Transformers films that are currently in development has Creed II director Stephen Caple Jr. attached to direct.
