ZOE KRAVITZ CAST AS CATWOMAN IN MATT REEVES ‘THE BATMAN’

Matt Reeves’ The Batman lead cast is starting to shapeup nicely. Leading the charge is Twilight star Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne, who will also don the cape and cowl as he suits up as Batman. Starring opposite Pattinson is Big Little Lies star Zoe Kravitz, who has been tapped to play the Feline Bombshell Selina Kyle aka Catwoman.

According to Variety, who also broke the news of this casting. The frontrunners for the role were the now cast Zoe Kravitz, Zazie Beetz, Eiza Gonzalez, and Alicia Vikander. This shortlist was stacked, to say the least, and it’s clear the best woman for the role ultimately came out on top.

Following the report from Variety, director Matt Reeves double confirmed the casting report with a subtle but direct tweet.

The Batman is set to release on June 25, 2021 with production aiming to start in late 2019 or early 2020.
