Batwoman, The Flash, and Legends of Tomorrow All Get Season Renewals

Batwoman Season 3, The Flash Season 8, and Legends of Tomorrow Season 7 are all a go at The CW in new wave of seasonal renewals

The CW has announced a full slate of episode extensions and season renewals for 12 of their shows running through the 2021-2022 year. Ahead of their new season premieres, The CW has renewed The Flash for an eighth season while also renewing Legends of Tomorrow for a seventh season. The Flash upcoming season, season seven will premiere on March 2nd after getting delayed due to Superman and Lois getting a two-hour series premiere. DC’s Legends of Tomorrow will premiere later this Spring on May 14th.

The Flash

Superman and Lois which premieres on February 23rd with a two hour premiere has been extended from 13 episodes to 15 episodes to complete its first season. Additionally, Batwoman, who just kicked off the new 2021-2022 season of The CW’s Arrowverse has been renewed for a third season. That means that Batwoman season two star Javicia Leslie will be back to don the cape and cowl to kick ass in Gotham.

Late last year The CW announced that Supergirl and Black Lightning will be coming to an end with their respective sixth and fourth seasons. However, The CW did announce a Painkiller spin-off series with a backdoor pilot airing during this final season of Black Lightning.

Stargirl

A few weeks ago we reported a rumor that Stargirl, the hit DC Universe original series turned CW series was renewed for a third season, The CW did not reveal during this announcement whether or not Stargirl has indeed been renewed for another season. While this does raise some questions, the second season of Stargirl has yet to premiere and has yet been given a release window or specific release date so fans of the series shouldn’t fret.
