HAWKEYE

Disney+ is on its way to our screens later on this year. Prior to the big reveal from Disney a new report was released stating that a solo series for Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye is currently in development. While this has yet to be confirmed and announced by Disney, sources are stating that the series will center around Clint Barton/Hawkeye mentoring his protege Kate Bishop. In doing so Clint Barton will be passing the torch and the mantle of Hawkeye to Kate Bishop who will eventually be the new Hawkeye of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

HAWKEYE

Kate Bishop is a fan favorite version of Hawkeye in Marvel Comics. Who eventually becomes a member of the Young Avengers and a leader of the West Coast Avengers as seen in the current Marvel Comics ongoing series of the same name.

Since Marvel Studios announced the casting of Katherine Langford (13 Reasons Why) for Avengers: Endgame. Fans have been speculating that she has been cast as Kate Bishop. Other have speculated that she’s been cast as Tony and Pepper’s daughter.

While neither the former or the latter have been revealed, announced or confirmed. We will have to wait until April 26th to see if Katherine Langford is indeed playing Kate Bishop in the MCU.

In the most recent Avengers: Endgame trailer we did see Clint Barton giving his daughter archery lessons so the speculation only intensifies, especially with the talks of time travel and time jumps in Avengers: Endgame.
