Dark Match: Lince Dorado defeated Drew Gulak
Segment: Smackdown kicks off with Daniel Bryan, with his new clean cut and shaved look, entering the ring. He cuts a promo calling out Bray Wyatt. The Miz comes out instead. Miz says no disrespect to Daniel but he has unfinished business with Bray. Says Bray has nothing but the Universal Title and he will be taking it from him. King Corbin interrupts and says he’s next in line for the Universal Title. He claims Miz & DB both have failed as fathers. As Miz and Daniel got upset and were to corner Corbin, Dolph Ziggler enters the ring and sneak attacks the. Corbin and Ziggler beat down DB & Miz.
Back from commercial, title graphic displays that Miz & Daniel Bryan vs. King Corbin & Dolph Ziggler has been set for the main event. Matches for tonite include WWE Women’s Champion Bayley vs. Dana Brooke, The New Day vs. Cesaro & Shinsuke Nakamura and a holiday treat, Heavy Machinery vs. The Revival in a Miracle On 34th Street Fight!!!
Segment: Backstage, Heavy Machinery is chatting up with Kayla Braxton. Mandy Rose walks up to Otis. She reveals that she is Otis’ Secret Santa and she has a gift. Otis opens the gift and it is revealed to be a giant-sized ham. Mandy gives him the ham and a kiss. Otis’ shocked look from the kiss spoke volumes!
Match 1: Heavy Machinery defeat The Revival in a Miracle on 34th Street Fight! Crazy and wild match involving wrapped gift boxes, small Christmas trees, Legos, Otis’ ham and caterpillar!
Segment: After commercial break, The Revival are still in the ring. They are pissed and want to know what happened to good old school wrestling. Every week is like it’s a joke. Elias‘ music hits and interrupts them. He sings them a song about wanting to be Top Guys, their matches are so boring it left his geandmother on life support and they need to change like Caityln Jenner! Ooohhh!!! Ouch!!!
Segment: Backstage, we see Braun Strowman. Enter Sami Zayn who walks up to Braun and him he got him for for Secret Santa. He tried to find him mittens to fit his large hands but to no avail. So he asks Braun what does he want instead. Braun says angrily if he’s serious about a gift – in walks Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura and ask if there’s a problem – Sami says no problem. Braun proceeds to say that he wants the gift of an Intercontinental Title shot. Sami shruggingly says that unfortunately they have a tag match later tonite.
Match 2: Carmella defeats Sonya DeVille via her Code Of Silence submission!
Segment: As Carmella walks up the ramp, The New Day‘s music hits and she joins them by dancing and doing an imaginary jump rope sequence. They celebrate with a hug as The New Day gets ready for their upcoming tag match.
Back from commercial break, a Sheamus promo vignette is shown. He says Smackdown used to be a temple of titans, but in his absence, they have become soft and small.
Match 3: The New Day defeat Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura. After the match, Cesaro, Nakanura along with Sami, beatdown Braun Strowman enters the ring to make the save. He is ganged up by all three men but manages to overpower them and beat them all up, forcing them to retreat.
Segment: Daniel Bryan is backstage and The Miz walks in. Miz says he never got a chance to thanks Daniel for coming to his aid at TLC. DB says he didnt do it for him. They exchange back and forth that they both hate each other, can’t stand each other, but they both have a job to do tonite and that’s take care of Corbin and Ziggler and after that, Wyatt will be next!
Match 4: Bayley (with Sasha Banks) defeats Dana Brooke via pinfall. After the match, Bayley and Sasha were bullying Dana. Lacey Evans runs in to make the save and the girls ran away. Lacey grabs a mic and calls out Sasha, calling her a bully and challenges her to a match so she make her a ‘Legit Loser’.
Back from commercial break, and Sasha has agreed to a match with Lacey.
Match 5: Lacey Evans vs Sasha Banks ends in a Double Count Out after Sasha kept hitting Lacey in front of her daughter, Summer, who was at ringside with some of Lacey’s family.
Backstage, we see both Miz and Bryan walking separately towards the camera. Their tag team match is next.
Match 6: Daniel Bryan & The Miz defeat King Corbin & Dolph Ziggler after Miz made Ziggler tap out to the Figure-Four Leglock. After the match, the lights in the arena start going dark and we hear Bray Wyatt’s laughter.
Graphic is shown announcing Daniel Bryan vs The Miz vs King Corbin in a Triple Threat Match is made official for next week – the winner faces The Fiend Bray Wyatt for the Universal Title at The Royal Rumble as the show goes off the air.
